Job Opportunity: Manager Vendor Management
Eskom is South Africa’s primary energy provider, generating approximately 95% of the electricity used in the country and 45% used across Africa. We are currently seeking a professional and experienced Manager for Vendor Management to join our team in Gauteng.
Role Overview
The Manager of Vendor Management will oversee the strategic planning and execution of electricity vending services. This role is essential for managing supplier relationships, ensuring service level agreements are met, and supervising the distribution of free basic electricity to our communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage the processes for free basic electricity and vending operations.
- Oversee contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for prepayment and operational vending.
- Act as the primary custodian for provincial and cluster-level electricity projects.
- Implement and integrate value chain processes within the province.
- Manage department budgets, ensure cost control, and provide regular reporting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all key stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree, B Tech, or National Higher Diploma (NQF level 7) in Commerce, Finance, or Marketing.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a large organization, specifically focusing on supplier relationship management.
