Associate Consultant Intern – Summer Internship Program 2026, Johannesburg, South Africa.
What You’ll Do
- Work in small teams to solve strategic questions for global brands.
- Own deliverables and build relationships with clients.
- Gain exposure to technology, data, and a range of industries such as financial services, retail, hospitality, and more.
- Participate in volunteer and team‑building activities.
- Network with leadership through sessions and speaker series.
- Receive mentorship from experienced managers.
- Collaborate across the organization on business development, account management, and product management.
Career Tracks
Choose one of three tracks. You may work across tracks to broaden your skills.
Strategy & Transformation
Help clients improve performance and operations through strategy, product development, marketing, and innovation. Typical projects involve Fortune 500 companies.
Performance Analytics
Use SQL, Python, BI platforms, and other tools to analyze data, build models, and create visualizations that inform strategic decisions.
Marketing
Develop and implement marketing campaigns, evaluate results, and use customer data to drive performance for Mastercard’s clients.

Qualifications
- Undergraduate or master’s degree, graduating between November 2026 and August 2027.
- Outstanding academic record.
