Medical Officer (Grade 1 to 3)
The Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness is a provincial government department dedicated to providing high-quality public healthcare services to the population of the Western Cape. We are currently seeking qualified Medical Officers for a 16-session per week commitment.

Minimum Requirements
- An appropriate qualification that allows for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Practitioner.
- Proof of current registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner.
Experience Levels
Grade 1:
- South African Qualified: No experience required after registration with the HPCSA.
- Foreign Qualified: At least one year of relevant experience after registration with a recognized foreign Health Professional Council (for those exempt from South African Community Service).
Grade 2:
- South African Qualified: A minimum of 5 years of appropriate experience as a Medical Practitioner after registration with the HPCSA.
- Foreign Qualified: A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience after registration with a recognized foreign Health Professional Council.
