The Role
We are seeking a professional Security Investigations Officer to join our team in East London. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations into incidents, irregularities, and criminal activities while providing essential support and advisory services to the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct baseline investigations into security incidents and criminal activities.
- Apply sound investigative practices to ensure accurate results.
- Provide post-investigative support to various business units.
- Offer expert security advice and consultative services.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- A National Diploma (NQF 6 with 240 credits) in Security Risk Management, Policing, or Forensic Investigations.
- Professional Registration: Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) Grade A.
Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in a security environment and crime investigations.
Required Knowledge and Skills
Technical Knowledge:
- Familiarity with relevant South African legislation.
- Knowledge of Eskom’s security policies, systems, and standards.
- Completion of National Key Point training.
- PSIRA skills programs for first-line security supervision and private investigation.
Professional Skills:
- Strong report writing and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced investigative environment.
- Capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
