Role Overview
As an Officer for Wellness and Lifestyle Management, you will be responsible for promoting health and well-being within the organization. This role focuses on education, support services, and ensuring a healthy work environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and organize healthy lifestyle awareness and education sessions.
- Recruit, coordinate, and train Wellness Ambassadors across the division.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of wellness programs.
- Provide lay counselling services to support employee mental and physical health.
- Ensure all Generation sites are accessible and supportive for employees with disabilities.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- National Diploma (NQF Level 6 / 240 credits) in Health Science, Health Information, Social Science, Industrial Psychology, or Social Work.
Minimum Experience:
- 3 years of professional experience in a Health and Wellness environment.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Expertise: Strong understanding of employee wellness, lifestyle management (including HIV/AIDS and TB protocols), and medical aid chronic disease programs.
- HR Knowledge: Familiarity with HR policies, sickness management, and absenteeism procedures.
- Communication: Excellent written skills and the ability to present and facilitate workshops effectively.
- Project Management: Ability to manage large-scale projects and solve complex problems.
- Personal Attributes: High level of integrity, professionalism, and the ability to work well within a team.
