Main Purpose of the Job
As a Basic Ambulance Assistant, you will respond to emergency calls and provide essential medical care within your professional scope of practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain operational readiness to respond to emergency calls immediately.
- Provide high-quality patient care according to professional standards.
- Represent ER24 professionally and maintain a positive image for the company.
Requirements
Education:
- Essential: Basic Ambulance Assistant Certificate.
- Desired: Completion of Clinical Practice Guidelines training (HPCSA). If you have not completed this yet, you will be required to do so during your probation period.
Experience:
- Minimum: 6 months to 1 year of road experience as a Basic Life Support (BLS) provider.
- Preferred: 2 years of road experience as a BLS provider.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of local travel routes and geographical areas.
- Full understanding of HPCSA guidelines and the BLS scope of practice.
- Ability to apply medical best practices in an EMS environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
- Accuracy in completing Patient Report Forms.
