About the job
We are looking for a Packaging Operator to support our chemical handling and packaging operations. The role involves receiving deliveries, unloading chemicals, maintaining clean storage areas, and ensuring safety procedures are followed.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive chemical deliveries from Diversey and assist drivers with forklift arrangements.
- Unload chemicals from trucks and submit required paperwork to technicians.
- Transfer chemicals from bulk storage to daytanks when needed, using barricades and signage.
- Keep chemical containment and storage areas clean and free of spills and dirt.
- Monitor dosing lines and pumps for leaks, damages, or faults and report immediately to the technician.
- Prepare daily stock‑taking reports: 6 am and 6 pm for night shift, 1 pm for day shift.
- Fill in stock allocation reports accurately.
- Complete daily schedules from the line and submit them to planners.
- Walk the lines to inspect for issues, downtime, spray patterns, and leaks.
- Remove and clean blocked nozzles.
- Check conveyors for cleanliness.
- Record water hardness test results.
- Be present on the line during start‑up and maintenance periods.
- Perform COF/drag tests as required.
