Key Responsibilities
As a Painter at Joint Medical Holdings, your primary duties will include:
- Preparing all surfaces thoroughly before applying finishing coats.
- Painting interior and exterior building surfaces, including roofs, gutters, downpipes, and fascias.
- Painting industrial plant equipment and machinery.
- Replacing broken glass and louvre window panes.
- Accurately measuring areas and ordering materials in a timely manner.
- Supervising the setup and dismantling of scaffolding.
- Performing ceramic tiling in ablution blocks, including splashbacks for basins.
- Marking and painting roads, parking bays, and designated spaces.
- Conducting routine inspections and reporting findings to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
- A valid Trade Test certificate (Required).
- At least 5 years of professional site experience within the painting trade.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Availability to work on standby and attend emergency callouts when required.
- A SAQA approved qualification in Paint Surfaces (NQF Level 3) is an advantage.
- Previous experience working in a healthcare or hospital environment is an advantage.
