Role Overview
We are seeking a professional and motivated Part-Time Sales Assistant for our Galleria Mall branch. The successful candidate will focus on providing excellent customer service, achieving sales targets, and maintaining a high standard of store presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet customers, offer expert advice, and use selling techniques to exceed expectations.
- Sales & Targets: Identify opportunities to increase turnover and ensure individual sales targets are met consistently.
- Point of Sale: Process all transactions accurately, including cash, cards, vouchers, and loyalty programs.
- Stock Management: Assist with stock loss control and ensure all outgoing items are properly scanned and paid for.
- Visual Merchandising: Maintain a clean, inspiring, and organized store environment according to brand standards.
- Problem Solving: Handle customer queries and complaints professionally, reporting feedback to management.
Job Requirements
Essential Criteria:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent qualification.
- Up to 6 months of experience in a retail environment.
- South African citizenship.
- A clear credit and criminal record.
- Ability to work flexible retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
Preferred Skills:
- One year of retail experience.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office).
- Strong communication skills.
- An interest in outdoor lifestyle and current clothing trends.
