Cape Union Mart is South Africa’s leading outdoor adventure store. Since 1933, we have been equipping adventurers with the best gear for hiking, camping, trail running, and more. We are looking for a motivated and energetic Sales Assistant to join our team in Tzaneen on a permanent part-time basis.
Role Overview
As a Sales Assistant, your main goal is to provide excellent service to our customers and help drive store sales. You will ensure the store looks great and that every shopper has a positive experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Use professional selling techniques to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Consistently work toward achieving individual and store sales targets.
- Identify opportunities to increase store turnover.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and visual merchandising to keep the store looking its best.
- Follow all stock loss control procedures.
- Help create an inspiring and welcoming shopping environment.
Requirements
- Education: Matric certificate or equivalent.
- Experience: At least 6 months of experience in a retail environment.
- Skills: Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office) and strong communication skills.
- Knowledge: An interest in current clothing trends or the outdoor lifestyle.
- Background: A clear criminal record is essential.
