Permanent Part-Time Sales Assistant: Old Khaki (Eastrand Mall)

Cape Union Mart International has been a leader in the South African outdoor and lifestyle industry since 1933. We are currently looking for a professional and energetic Permanent Part-Time Sales Assistant to join our Old Khaki team at Eastrand Mall in Boksburg.

Role Overview

As a Sales Assistant, your primary goal is to provide exceptional service to our customers while helping the store reach its sales targets. You will play a key role in maintaining the store’s appearance and ensuring a positive shopping experience for every visitor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Excellence: Provide friendly and professional service using proven selling techniques to exceed customer expectations.
  • Sales Growth: Identify opportunities to increase turnover and consistently meet individual sales targets.
  • Store Standards: Maintain high standards of housekeeping and visual merchandising to keep the store looking its best.
  • Stock Control: Follow all procedures related to stock loss prevention and security.
  • Environment: Contribute to an inspiring and positive work atmosphere for both colleagues and customers.

Requirements

  • Experience: At least 6 months of previous experience in a retail environment.
  • Education: Matric certificate or an equivalent qualification.
  • Skills: Proficient in basic computer use (Microsoft Office) and strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge: A good understanding of current clothing trends and the outdoor lifestyle.
  • Background: A clear criminal record is essential.
