About the Western Cape Education Department (WCED)
The WCED is responsible for early childhood development and primary and secondary school education within the province. Our main goals are to improve literacy and numeracy skills, increase matric pass rates, and ensure all learners in our communities have access to quality education.
Position Overview
We are seeking two professional Personal Assistants to provide high-level administrative and clerical support to our senior management team. The successful candidates will help ensure the smooth operation of our offices through efficient planning and organization.
Requirements
- Education: A Secretarial Diploma or an equivalent post-school qualification (1–2 years).
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of clerical or administrative experience, specifically supporting senior management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- Knowledge: Understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and basic financial administration.
- System Knowledge: Familiarity with financial systems such as BAS, PERSAL, IMS, or J-track will be considered an advantage.
