Job Opportunity: Pharmacist Assistant (Qualified Post Basic)

Role Description
We are looking for a Pharmacist Assistant (Qualified Post Basic) to join our team at Clicks Columbine Square in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality pharmaceutical care within their scope of practice. This role focuses on dispensary administration, accurate script processing, and ensuring patient satisfaction through professional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional and confidential pharmaceutical care to all customers.
- Accurately capture and process prescriptions and insurance claims.
- Handle patient profiles and maintain complete, accurate records.
- Interact with healthcare professionals to resolve queries.
- Manage chronic medication authorizations and follow up on patient requests.
- Assist with general dispensary duties and administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
Experience and Education:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacist Assistant (Post Basic).
- Further Education and Training Certificate in Pharmacist Assistance (Essential).
Knowledge and Skills:
- Solid understanding of pharmaceutical products, including Over-The-Counter (OTC) medicine.
- Knowledge of SAPC regulations and legal requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office and general computer literacy.
- Bilingualism (English is a requirement).
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
