Role Purpose
As a Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality pharmaceutical care within your scope of practice. Your main focus will be on dispensing medication, managing dispensary administration, and ensuring that every patient receives excellent service according to company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Interact with customers professionally while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Accurately capture and administer prescriptions and insurance claims.
- Handle telephonic inquiries regarding medication and healthcare services.
- Manage patient profiles and assist with chronic medication authorizations.
- Solve problems and follow up on customer queries efficiently.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
Experience & Education:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant.
- Further Education and Training Certificate: Pharmacist Assistance (Post-Basic).
Essential Skills:
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products (including over-the-counter medication).
- Understanding of SAPC regulations and legal requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Bilingual skills (English is required).
- Excellent time management and the ability to work under pressure.
