Job Overview

We are seeking dedicated Pharmacists for positions ranging from Grade 1 to Grade 3. This role requires individuals who can provide professional pharmaceutical services and work effectively within a healthcare team.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Current registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as a Pharmacist.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to perform after-hours duties when required.

Experience Levels

  • Grade 1: No experience required for South African qualified pharmacists after registration with the SAPC. (Foreign qualified pharmacists require 1 year of relevant experience).
  • Grade 2: A minimum of 5 years of appropriate experience after registration with the SAPC. (Foreign qualified pharmacists require 6 years of relevant experience).
  • Grade 3: A minimum of 13 years of appropriate experience after registration with the SAPC. (Foreign qualified pharmacists require 14 years of relevant experience).

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Knowledge of the Pharmacy Act and national/provincial health policies.
  • Experience or insight into Primary Health Care (PHC) settings.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal relations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Computer literacy and the ability to work well within a team.
