Requirements
- Education: A basic qualification accredited with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) that allows for registration as a Pharmacist.
- Registration: Current, valid registration with the SAPC as a Pharmacist.
- Licensing: A valid Code B/EB driver’s license.
Experience Levels
We are hiring across three grade levels based on your professional experience:
- Grade 1: Open to newly registered pharmacists (SA qualified). Foreign-qualified applicants require 1 year of relevant experience.
- Grade 2: Minimum of 5 years of experience after registration (SA qualified). Foreign-qualified applicants require 6 years of experience.
- Grade 3: Minimum of 13 years of experience after registration (SA qualified). Foreign-qualified applicants require 14 years of experience.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Professionalism: Ability to work accurately under pressure and maintain high ethical standards.
- Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills to work within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with National and Provincial Health Policies, the Medicines Act, the Pharmacy Act, and the Public Finance Management Act.
- Technology: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Innovation: Ability to coordinate, manage, and sustain pharmaceutical programs.
Working Conditions
- Willingness to perform regular after-hours, standby, and call-out duties.
- Willingness to travel between various healthcare facilities and provide relief support within the Mossel Bay Sub-District and Mossel Bay Hospital.
