Requirements
To qualify for this position, candidates must have:
- A Degree or National Diploma in Nursing (or an equivalent qualification) that allows for registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
- Current and valid registration with the SANC.
- Strong computer literacy skills.
- A valid driver’s license.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care and maintaining clinical standards. Primary duties include:
- Patient Care: Directing and supervising the implementation of nursing plans to ensure quality treatment.
- Standards & Compliance: Implementing nursing standards and practices in accordance with relevant healthcare laws and regulations.
- Resource Management: Managing human, material, and physical resources efficiently and effectively.
- Patient Advocacy: Promoting the Batho Pele principles by showing concern for patients, advocating for proper care, and responding promptly to patient needs and expectations.
- Collaboration: Maintaining professional working relationships with nursing staff and other healthcare stakeholders.
- Administration: Managing performance information and general resource oversight.
