Job Requirements
- Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
- A Basic qualification accredited with the South African Nursing Council (SANC), such as a Diploma or Degree in General Nursing.
- Current registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical nursing care in accordance with professional standards and the facility’s scope of practice.
- Promote high-quality nursing care and participate in the implementation of National Core Standards and the Ideal Hospital Framework.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, supervisors, and other clinicians.
- Prepare necessary reports and documentation.
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes.
- Maintain a professional and respectful attitude toward patients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Organize and plan daily work for yourself and support staff to ensure efficient care.
- Advocate for patient needs and follow the “Batho Pele” principles (putting people first).
- Manage allocated unit resources effectively.
