Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• A Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
• A basic qualification in General Nursing (Diploma or Degree) accredited by the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Proof of current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.

Key Responsibilities

As a Professional Nurse, your duties will include:

• Providing clinical nursing care in line with official standards and the professional scope of practice.
• Promoting high-quality patient care and assisting with the implementation of National Core Standards and the Ideal Hospital Framework.
• Communicating clearly and effectively with patients, supervisors, and other healthcare professionals.
• Working as an active member of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure patients receive the best care possible.
• Collaborating professionally with colleagues and patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Planning and organizing your daily tasks and supervising support staff to maintain efficient operations.
• Upholding the Batho-Pele principles by advocating for patients and responding to their needs with empathy and professionalism.
• Managing the resources and equipment allocated to your unit effectively.
