Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- A Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
- A Basic qualification accredited by the South African Nursing Council (SANC), such as a Diploma or Degree in General Nursing.
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse for 2026.
Key Responsibilities
As a Professional Nurse, your duties will include:
- Providing clinical nursing care according to the standards of the health facility.
- Ensuring high-quality care by following the National Core Standards and the Ideal Hospital Realization Framework.
- Communicating effectively with patients, supervisors, and other healthcare professionals.
- Writing clear reports and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide the best possible care.
- Treating all patients with respect and kindness, following the Batho-Pele principles (putting people first).
- Managing the resources and equipment allocated to your unit efficiently.
- Planning and organizing your own work and supervising support staff.
