Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- A Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
- A Basic qualification accredited with the South African Nursing Council (SANC), such as a Diploma or Degree in General Nursing.
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
Key Responsibilities
As a Professional Nurse, your duties will include:
- Providing clinical nursing care according to the standards and scope of practice set by the health facility.
- Ensuring high-quality nursing care and participating in the implementation of National Core Standards and the Ideal Hospital Realization Framework.
- Communicating effectively with patients, supervisors, and other medical professionals.
- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver excellent patient care.
- Collaborating respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Planning and organizing your work and supervising support staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Advocating for patient needs and upholding the Batho-Pele principles (putting people first).
- Managing the resources and equipment allocated to your unit efficiently.
