Professional Nurse Grade 1 (General Nursing)

Job Requirements

• Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
• A Basic qualification accredited by the South African Nursing Council (SANC), such as a Diploma or Degree in General Nursing.
• Current registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical nursing care in accordance with professional standards and the scope of practice.
• Promote high-quality nursing care and participate in the implementation of National Core Standards and the Ideal Hospital Framework.
• Communicate effectively with patients, supervisors, and other healthcare professionals.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure patients receive the best care possible.
• Maintain a professional and caring environment by advocating for patient needs and following the Batho-Pele principles.
• Plan and organize daily tasks for yourself and support staff.
• Manage the resources and equipment allocated to your unit efficiently.
