Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- A Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
- A Basic qualification accredited with the South African Nursing Council (SANC), such as a Diploma or Degree in General Nursing.
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
- Provide clinical nursing care in line with the official scope of practice and nursing standards.
- Promote and maintain high-quality nursing care within the health facility.
- Assist in implementing National Core Standards and the Ideal Hospital Realization Framework.
- Communicate effectively with patients, supervisors, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to ensure patients receive the best possible care.
- Work cooperatively with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Plan and organize daily tasks for yourself and support staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Advocate for patient needs and uphold “Batho Pele” principles (putting people first).
- Effectively manage the resources allocated to your unit.
