Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Professional Nurse – Midwife to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will provide essential maternity and nursing care, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing and midwifery care within the required scope of practice and APC guidelines.
- Follow all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to all patients in the ward.
- Lead and supervise junior staff members to ensure efficient ward operations.
- Communicate effectively with patients and resolve any concerns or complaints professionally.
- Maintain excellent interpersonal relationships with patients, families, and the medical team.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be currently registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
- A Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related qualification.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with doctors, colleagues, and patients.
- Preferably two or more years of experience working as a Midwife.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including day and night shifts.
