Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Pharmacist Assistant to join our Maclear team. In this role, you will provide professional pharmaceutical care within your scope of practice. Your daily tasks will include managing dispensary administration and ensuring all activities follow the company’s Standard Operating Plans (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high standards of customer service and patient care.
  • Manage stock efficiently, including the repacking of medicine and administrative duties.
  • Handle dispensary administration accurately.
  • Perform accurate medicine compounding.
  • Provide general health advice to customers.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and product display.
  • Support the pharmacy team with other operational tasks as needed.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Matric with Mathematics (Essential).
  • Registration: Must meet the requirements of the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) for the relevant level (Qualified, Post Basic, or Learner Basic).

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of Health aisle and Over-the-Counter (OTC) products.
  • Familiarity with SAPC regulations and pharmacy law.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team.
  • High level of integrity and ethical work practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with basic calculations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and business operating systems.
