Job Overview
The Reach Truck Driver is responsible for the safe movement of goods within our warehouse. This role involves operating heavy machinery to load, unload, and organize inventory accurately. This is a contract position suited for someone who prioritizes safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a reach truck to load and unload materials.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Move and store items in the correct warehouse locations to assist with inventory management.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet daily goals.
Requirements
- A valid certification to operate a reach truck.
- A Matric certificate (High School diploma) or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- The physical ability to work in a busy environment and lift heavy objects when necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Good communication skills and a team-player attitude.
- A commitment to following all safety procedures.
