Role Description
As a Repair Shop Assistant, you will provide vital support to our workshop team, ensuring that vehicle repairs are handled efficiently and the workspace remains organized.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist workshop staff with both major and minor vehicle repairs.
- Follow up with external suppliers to track the progress of outsourced repair work.
- Order and monitor the stock of vehicle parts to ensure they are available when needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace according to health and safety standards.
- Communicate with other departments regarding the status of vehicles undergoing repairs.
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the workshop team.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum of a Matric (Grade 12) certificate.
- Experience: Previous experience in a workshop or automotive environment is an advantage.
Skills and Attributes
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle parts and common repairs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and a proactive team player.
