Retail & Operations Assistant

Helderberg Personnel is seeking a dedicated and energetic Retail & Operations Assistant to join our team in the Western Cape. This is a full-time position suited for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is comfortable working in both a retail shop and a warehouse setting.

Role Overview

In this role, you will support our daily business operations by providing excellent customer service and ensuring our stock is managed efficiently. You will be the face of the company for in-store customers and play a vital role in our logistics and warehouse processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help customers in the store and process transactions at the till.
  • Handle customer inquiries professionally in person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Receive, check, and organize new stock as it arrives.
  • Pack and prepare products carefully for courier delivery.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties, including cleaning and organization.
  • Support the retail team with various operational tasks as needed.
  • Maintain a friendly and professional attitude at all times.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a retail or warehouse environment is required.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
  • Comfortable using computers and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
  • Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • A positive, hardworking, and energetic attitude.
  • Honest, punctual, and highly dependable.
  • Willingness to assist with physical tasks in the warehouse.
  • Must have your own reliable transport.
