Role Overview

Job Type: Full-Time
Field: Finance / Accounting / Audit
The primary purpose of the Risk Practitioner is to coordinate and assist with risk mitigation activities. You will play a key role in identifying potential issues and ensuring the organization meets its business objectives safely and efficiently.
Requirements
To qualify for this role, you should meet one of the following criteria:
- Option 1: A National Diploma or Advanced Certificate (NQF Level 6) in Taxation, Accounting, Auditing, or Finance, plus 2–3 years of experience in a tax or accounting environment.
- Option 2: A Senior Certificate (Matric – NQF Level 4) plus 5 years of related experience in a tax or accounting environment.
Key Skills and Functional Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- The ability to analyze data, identify trends, and compile clear reports with recommendations.
- The ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential taxpayer information with integrity.
- Strong situational judgment and problem-solving skills.
Main Responsibilities
Operational Processes:
- Gather information and provide detailed reports to support decision-making.
- Monitor systems and procedures to identify potential risks or violations.
- Plan and organize daily tasks to improve service delivery and quality.
- Collaborate with team members and internal stakeholders to achieve goals.
- Follow all official policies, standards, and legislation during daily work.
Governance and Compliance:
- Ensure all completed work meets legal and internal policy requirements.
- Identify and escalate any financial or operational risks immediately.
Customer Service:
- Provide excellent service to internal and external clients.
- Build positive professional relationships to improve feedback and results.
Personal Competencies
- Behavioral: Accountability, analytical thinking, attention to detail, honesty, and respect.
- Technical: Risk awareness, data collection, reporting, and business knowledge.
