About the Role
Cape Union Mart International has been a leader in South African outdoor and lifestyle retail since 1933. We are currently looking for a vibrant and professional Sales Assistant to join our Old Khaki team at the Eastrand Mall. In this role, you will be the face of our brand, helping customers find exactly what they need while ensuring the store looks its best.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional service by greeting and assisting every customer.
- Drive sales to meet and exceed daily store targets.
- Handle point-of-sale transactions, including cash, cards, and vouchers.
- Keep the store neat, organized, and well-stocked according to our visual standards.
- Process loyalty card sign-ups and handle customer queries professionally.
- Follow all stock control and security procedures to prevent loss.
- Report customer feedback and complaints to management promptly.
What We Are Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 6 months of experience in a retail environment.
- Valid South African citizenship.
- A clear credit and criminal record.
- Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
Personal Attributes:
- Honest, trustworthy, and reliable.
- Strong communication and people skills.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team.
- Effective time management and problem-solving skills.
Added Advantages:
- 1 year of retail experience.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
