We are currently looking for a motivated Sales Assistant to join our Birkenstock team in Brooklyn, Pretoria.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service and Sales

  • Greet every customer promptly and provide friendly, professional service.
  • Identify customer needs and use product knowledge to recommend the best footwear solutions.
  • Focus on closing sales and encouraging additional purchases.
  • Monitor your daily sales performance against individual targets.

Inventory Management

  • Replenish store shelves daily with stock from the storeroom.
  • Help minimize stock loss by staying alert and following store policies.
  • Process new deliveries by checking quantities, pricing items, and updating the system.
  • Handle customer orders efficiently.

Daily Operations and Merchandising

  • Maintain high standards of store cleanliness, including dusting, vacuuming, and tidying fitting rooms.
  • Assist management with opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure products are displayed according to brand standards.
  • Help update window displays and mannequins every two weeks.

Professional Development

  • Take ownership of your training by completing the Birkenstock “rookie pack.”
  • Attend quarterly training sessions and participate in monthly feedback meetings with your manager.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 6 months of experience in a customer service environment.
  • Previous knowledge of the Birkenstock brand is an advantage.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
