Position Purpose

The SAP MM Systems Analyst is responsible for managing and improving the effectiveness of the SAP module. This role involves driving continuous improvement, leading new development projects, and providing functional guidance to both business and IT teams through knowledge sharing and skill development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide functional support to business users and ensure all system configurations and training documents are up to date.
  • Analyze business requirements and convert them into effective functional solutions and design specifications.
  • Lead project deliverables from the initial concept to final implementation, ensuring high-quality standards and best practices.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to influence decision-making.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), mentoring team members and encouraging professional growth.
  • Research and implement new strategies and technologies to improve system performance and innovation.
  • Prepare business cases, plan technical roadmaps, and manage incident and change processes to meet service level agreements (SLAs).

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma (NQF 6/7) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in SAP application support.
  • Relevant SAP certification is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP integration and cross-functional areas.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or specialist role.
  • Alternative: An NQF 5 qualification with 6 years of solid experience (including 2 years at a specialist or managerial level) may be considered.
