Job Summary
The School Finance and Records Officer will play a vital role in managing the financial and administrative records of our educational institutions. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in finance and office administration.
Requirements
- A 3-year post-matric finance qualification or a relevant degree.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant administrative experience, specifically in finance and records management.
- A valid driver’s license.
Knowledge and Competencies
The successful candidate should possess the following:
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of the Public Financial Management Act (PFMA), Archives and Records Service Act, and Supply Chain Management (SCM) procedures.
- Financial Expertise: Experience with budgeting processes, bookkeeping, and financial software like Pastel.
- Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with School Administrative processes and Information Management Systems such as EMIS and CEMIS.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively in two of the official languages of the Western Cape.
- General Skills: Strong computer literacy, professional report writing, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
