Position Purpose
As a Senior Administrative Assistant, you will provide essential operational support to the Technology Transfer and Innovation office. Your role is vital in ensuring smooth daily operations, supporting internal processes, and maintaining clear communication with researchers and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Logistics: Manage travel arrangements, including car bookings and accommodation.
- Meeting Coordination: Organize meetings and distribute all necessary documentation.
- Office Operations: Assist with event planning, track staff leave, and manage office supplies and inventory.
- Asset Management: Organize storerooms and maintain an accurate list of office equipment.
- Finance: Process purchase requests and handle financial documentation according to university policy.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.
- Safety: Strictly follow Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) protocols.
Requirements
- Education: A Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
- Experience: At least two years of experience in an administrative or secretarial environment.
Preferred Experience
- Working within the Higher Education sector.
- Handling financial administration and records management.

- Technical: High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams).
