Senior Analyst: Business Systems (Fixed Term Contract)

Role Purpose
The Senior Analyst will provide expert advice and support to deliver operational plans and improve service delivery. You will handle analysis for large projects and smaller initiatives, including automation testing. Your role is to use your industry experience to identify risks, enhance systems, and ensure high-quality service.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet one of the following criteria:
- Option 1: A National Diploma or Advanced Certificate (NQF 6) in Information Technology, plus 3 to 4 years of experience in Release Management or Business Analysis within a complex system environment.
- Option 2: A Senior Certificate (NQF 4) plus 6 years of experience in Release Management.
Additional Functional Requirements:
- At least 4 years of experience working with VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL, ETI, or Income Tax.
- Proven experience in writing functional specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Processes:
- Act as a liaison between internal departments and external development partners.
- Gather data and create detailed reports with recommendations for your area of expertise.
- Identify trends and potential risks within systems and procedures.
- Write and prioritize functional requirements and system change requests.
- Manage data for automated testing and identify business processes that can be automated.
- Investigate system queries to find the root cause and provide workarounds for technical defects.
- Provide education and training to system end-users.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
Governance and Finance:
- Follow all governance and compliance procedures to identify and escalate risks.
- Adhere to organizational policies to ensure cost-effectiveness and reduce financial waste.
Customer Service:
- Support a culture of service excellence by building positive relationships.
- Ensure all customer service standards are met or exceeded.
- Analyze incident trends to improve overall system performance.
