Job Opportunity: Senior Artisan HVAC
Bidvest Facilities Management, formerly known as TFMC, is a leading provider of infrastructure management and facility solutions. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Senior HVAC Artisan to join our team in KwaZulu-Natal.
Role Overview
The primary purpose of this role is to provide high-quality maintenance, repairs, and installations for air-conditioning and water reticulation systems. You will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and meets client service standards through planned and emergency maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and emergency repairs on air-conditioning and water reticulation units.
- Install and commission new equipment according to technical specifications.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and report potential risks.
- Ensure all work complies with safety legislation (OHS Act) and service level agreements.
- Provide regular updates to supervisors and clients regarding equipment status and repairs.
- Maintain high standards of quality and ensure all tasks are completed on time.
Requirements
- Education: Matric (Senior Certificate) and N3 – N6 in Mechanical Engineering.
- Certification: Must have a formal Trade Test in HVAC (Air-conditioning and Refrigeration). An additional Trade Test in Electrical is an advantage.
- Experience: 5 to 8 years of experience in HVAC maintenance, with at least 3 years of experience post-trade.
- Technical Skills: Experience with digital control systems and water reticulation. Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
- Computer Literacy: Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- License: A valid South African driver’s license is required.
- Legal: Strong understanding of the OHS Act.
