Senior Artisan – Standby Power

Role Purpose
The Senior Artisan for Standby Power is responsible for performing high-quality planned, preventative, and emergency maintenance. The goal is to ensure all specified equipment operates efficiently while meeting business standards and client service agreements.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform on-site maintenance and manage job cards according to company requirements.
- Deliver maintenance services for standby plants, electrical installations, and minor building works.
- Communicate with the client control center regarding maintenance schedules and alarm testing.
- Maintain electrical equipment following strict maintenance schedules.
- Ensure all emergency repairs comply with safety legislation and job plans.
- Identify potential hazards or equipment problems and provide solutions.
- Complete all field requests accurately and on time.
- Provide regular updates to supervisors and clients regarding equipment status.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: Matric (Senior Certificate) and N3 – N6 in Electrical Engineering with a completed Trade Test.
- Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering maintenance.
- Technical Knowledge: Practical experience with air circuit breakers, PLCs, and EPS Controllers (such as Deep Sea, Gencon, Lovato, Mitsubishi, or Siemens).
- Tools: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and SAP.
- Regulations: Solid understanding of the OHS Act.
- License: A valid South African Driver’s License.
