About the Organization

The Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality is located on the east coast of the Eastern Cape province. It serves the communities of East London, Bhisho, and Qonce, as well as the townships of Mdantsane and Zwelitsha. We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our Human Resources Management team.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Financial Management, or Financial Accounting.
  • A relevant post-graduate qualification will be an added advantage.
  • At least ten (10) years of relevant experience in human resources, with at least five (5) years at a Senior Management level.
  • A valid Code B/EB driver’s license.
  • Strong computer literacy.

Key Performance Areas

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Managing the remuneration, benefits, and payroll departments.
  • Developing and reviewing organizational policies and procedures.
  • Preparing and presenting reports for the Audit, Risk, MPAC, and Standing Committees.
  • Controlling staff costs and managing the municipal budget for human resources.
  • Overseeing department staff and handling all official correspondence.
