Role Summary
We are looking for a dedicated Senior Plant Operator (Chemistry) to join our team in Mpumalanga. This role involves managing and operating various chemical treatment plants and cooling systems to ensure efficient power station operations.

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Plant Operator, your primary duties will include:
- Operating Water Treatment Plant (WTP) systems manually and via automatic controls.
- Managing Desalination and Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD) plants.
- Overseeing Vacuum Concentration (VC) and FGD waste treatment processes.
- Operating main and auxiliary cooling water systems.
- Managing the Condensate Polishing Plant (CPP), Ammonia plant, and Sewage plant.
- Performing additional technical tasks as required to maintain plant standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 or N3 (with Mathematics and Science), or N4 in Chemical Plant Operations.
- Experience: At least 2 years of related experience in an industrial plant environment.
- License: A valid light vehicle driver’s license.
Required Skills and Competencies
Technical Knowledge:
- Proven experience operating industrial plant machinery.
- Understanding of basic chemical analysis.
- Proficiency in computer systems.
Leadership and Behavior:
- Strong professional ethics, including integrity and honesty.
- Ability to work well in a team and mentor junior staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
