About the Role
The Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness is looking for a Senior State Accountant to join the team as a trainer. This role focuses on Hospital Fees training and ensures that staff are well-equipped to manage financial processes within a clinical setting.
Educational Requirements
- A recognized 3-year National Diploma or Degree is required.
Experience and Requirements
- Proven experience working within a training environment.
- Experience working in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Specific experience in training staff on Hospital Fees.
- A valid Code B/EB driver’s license.
- A willingness to travel between various health institutions.
Key Competencies and Skills
- Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of Hospital Fees structures, policies, procedures, and the PFMA (Public Finance Management Act).
- Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, particularly for reporting and data analysis.
- Analytical Thinking: The ability to work with complex figures, solve problems, and prepare detailed reports.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle conflict and represent the Department professionally to internal and external clients.
- Work Ethic: The ability to work independently, manage your own time, and operate effectively without constant supervision.
