Technical Knowledge

Candidates must demonstrate a solid understanding of the following areas:

  • Software and Databases: Proficiency in database systems (Oracle, SQL) and operating systems (Linux, Windows). Experience with Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) and SCADA software.
  • Protocols: Knowledge of OT and IT protocols such as TCP/IP, DNP3, IEC101, IEC61850, and ICCP.
  • Telecommunications: Understanding of network equipment (BME), radio systems (Analogue/Digital), GPRS, and Satellite communications.
  • Telecontrol Technology: Familiarity with Remote Terminal Units (RTU), Fault Path Indicators (FPI), and Intelligent Electronic Devices (IED).
  • Networking and Security: Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN, Firewalls, VPNs, and Cyber Security measures (Active Directory, Antivirus, DMZ).
  • Regulations: Understanding of Operating Regulations for High Voltage Systems (ORHVS).
