Role Introduction

We are looking for a friendly and motivated Shop Assistant / Cashier to join our team at the Ballito Lifestyle store. Your main goal will be to provide excellent customer service, handle point-of-sale transactions efficiently, and ensure the store is well-merchandised and clean.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Act as a brand ambassador by providing professional and friendly assistance to every customer.
• Point of Sale (POS): Accurately scan merchandise and process payments. Ensure cash is handled safely and reward points (Clubcard) are processed correctly.
• Sales Promotion: Inform customers about current promotions and encourage them to join the Clicks Clubcard program to help meet store targets.
• Store Maintenance: Keep the store tidy and ensure shelves are stocked and displayed according to company standards.
• Product Knowledge: Stay updated on our products, ranges, and upcoming events to provide accurate information to customers.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Basic math and numeracy skills.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Ability to solve problems and follow store procedures.
• Basic computer literacy.
• A positive attitude with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Organized and reliable.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Grade 12 (Matric) is essential. A minimum of 50% in both Mathematics and English is preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing role is an advantage but not required.
