Introduction
Clicks Group is South Africa’s leading retail pharmacy and healthcare chain. We are looking for a motivated and friendly Shop Assistant / Cashier to join our team at the Hilton Siding store. In this role, you will be the face of our brand, helping customers have a great shopping experience through excellent service, efficient checkout operations, and tidy displays.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, your main tasks will include:
- Customer Service: Acting as a brand ambassador by providing professional and friendly assistance to every customer.
- Point of Sale: Scanning items accurately, processing payments, and handling cash securely.
- Loyalty Program: Promoting the Clicks ClubCard and helping new members sign up to reach store targets.
- Sales & Promotions: Informing customers about current deals and promotions to help them save money.
- Merchandising: Keeping shelves stocked and ensuring the store is clean and organized according to company standards.
- Product Knowledge: Staying updated on our products and services to provide accurate information to shoppers.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Essential: A Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
- Desirable: At least 50% in Mathematics and English at the Grade 12 level.
- Experience: Previous experience in a retail store or a customer-facing role is a plus, but not required.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Basic math and numeracy skills.
- Good communication and people skills.
- The ability to use a computer.
- Basic understanding of retail, stock management, and merchandising.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to stay organized.
