Role Overview
The main goal of this position is to provide excellent service to our customers. You will handle point-of-sale activities, assist with product merchandising, and ensure the store remains tidy and welcoming. This is a full-time position located in KwaZulu-Natal.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Act as a brand ambassador by offering friendly and professional help to every customer.
- Point of Sale: Efficiently scan items and process payments accurately.
- Cash Handling: Ensure all cash is handled safely and correctly at all times.
- Loyalty Program: Actively promote the Clicks Clubcard and help new members sign up to meet store targets.
- Sales Promotion: Inform customers about current deals and promotions to help them save money.
- Merchandising: Keep shelves stocked and ensure the store follows visual standards and housekeeping rules.
- Product Knowledge: Stay updated on products and events to provide accurate information to shoppers.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Grade 12 (Matric) qualification is essential.
- A minimum of 50% in Math and English at the Grade 12 level is preferred.
- Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing role is an advantage.
Skills and Competencies:
- Basic math and numeracy skills.
- Good communication and people skills.
- Ability to solve problems and organize daily tasks.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well under pressure.
- A positive attitude toward meeting customer expectations.
