Shop Assistant / Cashier – Clicks Ermelo

Introduction

Clicks is looking for a friendly and motivated Shop Assistant / Cashier to join our team in Ermelo. In this role, you will help us provide excellent service to our customers by handling point-of-sale transactions, assisting with inquiries, and ensuring the store is well-merchandised and tidy.

Key Responsibilities

Your main goal is to ensure every customer has a positive shopping experience. Your duties will include:

• Processing customer payments quickly and accurately at the till.
• Handling cash safely and following all company procedures.
• Promoting the Clicks ClubCard program and helping new customers sign up.
• Informing customers about current promotions and deals to help them save money.
• Providing friendly and professional service as a representative of the Clicks brand.
• Stocking shelves and ensuring the store remains clean, organized, and inviting.
• Staying up-to-date on product information and store events to answer customer questions correctly.

Requirements

Education:

• Grade 12 (Matric) is essential.
• A good understanding of English and Mathematics is preferred.

Experience:

• Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing environment is an advantage but not required.

Skills and Competencies

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Basic math skills for handling transactions.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• The ability to follow instructions and work according to set procedures.
• Basic computer literacy.
