Shop Assistant / Cashier – Clicks Mega Park Kriel

Introduction
Clicks Group is a leading retail healthcare group in Southern Africa, managing well-known brands such as Clicks, GNC, The Body Shop, and Claire’s. We are looking for a dedicated Shop Assistant / Cashier to join our team at Mega Park Kriel. The primary goal of this role is to provide excellent customer service, manage point-of-sale transactions efficiently, and ensure the store is well-merchandised.
Job Objectives
In this role, your main responsibilities will include:
- Handling all sales transactions at the till quickly and accurately.
- Scanning merchandise and collecting payments while managing Clubcard rewards.
- Ensuring all cash is handled safely and securely at all times.
- Promoting the Clicks Clubcard and signing up new members to help reach store targets.
- Informing customers about current promotions to help them save money.
- Acting as a brand ambassador by providing friendly and professional service.
- Maintaining store standards through regular merchandising and general cleaning duties.
- Keeping up to date with product knowledge and store events to assist customers effectively.
Requirements
Education:
- Essential: A completed Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
- Desirable: At least 50% in both Mathematics and English at the Grade 12 level.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Basic math skills.
- An understanding of retail or FMCG environments, including merchandising and promotions.
- Knowledge of stock management and customer service excellence.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing retail role is a plus.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer literacy and numeracy.
- Problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- The ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure.
