Shop Assistant Cashier – Clicks Tzaneen
Clicks Group is a leading retail healthcare and beauty group with over 840 stores across southern Africa. We are looking for a motivated Shop Assistant Cashier to join our team in Tzaneen, Limpopo. This role is focused on providing excellent customer service, managing point-of-sale (POS) activities, and maintaining store standards.
Job Purpose
The primary goal of this position is to deliver service excellence. You will be responsible for efficient customer service, accurate till operations, and effective merchandising to ensure customers have a positive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform point-of-sale activities quickly and accurately.
- Scan merchandise and process payments securely, including handling cash and ClubCard rewards.
- Promote the Clicks ClubCard program and sign up new members.
- Inform customers about current promotions and special offers.
- Maintain high standards of store housekeeping and visual merchandising.
- Provide a friendly, professional, and helpful service to every customer.
- Stay informed about products, ranges, and store events to provide accurate information.
Requirements
Education:
- Essential: Grade 12 (Matric).
- Desirable: At least 50% in Mathematics and English at Grade 12 level.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing environment is an advantage.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Basic numeracy and computer literacy.
- Ability to solve problems and organize tasks effectively.
- Ability to follow instructions and store procedures.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for working with a diverse team and customer base.
