Role Purpose
We are looking for energetic individuals to provide excellent customer service at our Rynfield Square branch. As a Shop Assistant and Cashier, you will be the face of our brand, ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience through efficient service, accurate point-of-sale operations, and organized merchandising.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle sales transactions accurately and efficiently at the checkout.
- Process payments, scan merchandise, and manage cash safely.
- Promote the Clicks Clubcard and help new customers sign up to reach membership targets.
- Inform customers about active promotions and deals to help them “feel good and pay less.”
- Keep the store tidy and ensure shelves are stocked according to visual standards.
- Act as a brand ambassador by offering friendly and professional assistance to all shoppers.
- Stay updated on product knowledge and store events to provide accurate information.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Essential: Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
- Desirable: Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing environment.
- Desirable: A minimum of 50% in Math and English at the Grade 12 level.
Skills and Competencies:
- Basic math and numeracy skills.
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Basic computer literacy.
- The ability to follow instructions and work well under pressure.
- A focus on delivering results and meeting customer expectations.
- Good planning and organizational skills.
