About the Role

Toys R Us and Babies R Us is Africa’s favorite toy and baby store. We are looking for a dedicated Shop Assistant to join our team. Your primary goal will be to drive sales by providing every customer with an outstanding and memorable shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and helpful service to every customer who enters the store or calls by phone.
• Identify customer needs and offer expert advice on our range of products, prices, and warranties.
• Demonstrate products and explain how they work to help customers make informed choices.
• Focus on sales growth, including suggesting additional items that complement a customer’s purchase.
• Ensure all products are correctly priced, neatly displayed, and well-stocked.
• Help prepare and set up promotional displays and sales events.
• Maintain high standards of store housekeeping and visual merchandising.
• Assist with regular stock counts and help minimize stock loss or damages.
• Follow all company policies and procedures to protect store assets.

Requirements

• A valid Matric Certificate.
• At least 6 months of experience in a retail environment.
• Reliable transport to ensure you can work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• A positive, highly motivated, and target-driven attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Basic knowledge of merchandising and product display.
