Skills Development Facilitator: Occupational Qualifications & Skills Development
The OR Tambo District Municipality is looking for a qualified Skills Development Facilitator to join our Human Resources team in Mthatha, Eastern Cape. This role focuses on managing occupational qualifications and improving the skills of our workforce.
Position Details:
- Salary: R 478,345.39 – R 620,914.19 per year (Basic salary excluding benefits).
- Reporting to: Manager: Organisational Development, Learning and Skills Training.
- Job Type: Full-Time.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or Human Resource Development.
- Qualification as an Occupationally Directed Education, Training and Development Practitioner (ODETDP).
- At least 3 years of experience in a local government skills development environment.
- A valid Code B Driver’s License.
- A certificate in Computer Literacy.
- Registration with a relevant professional body is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will handle the following tasks:
- Coordinate short-term and immediate education and training plans for the institution.
- Help develop policies, systems, and controls for the skills development sub-section.
- Oversee training courses to ensure they meet the required standards and competencies.
- Manage the implementation of bursaries, study assistance, and other skills programs.
- Organize and monitor induction programs for new and existing employees.
- Monitor the performance and outcomes of staff within the sub-section.
- Manage the section’s budget and assets effectively.
- Prepare administrative reports regarding training and development activities.
- Maintain positive relationships and communication with all relevant stakeholders.
